The researchers then compared data from this step with Quantificare’s Reference Population Database of normal skin aging, adjusted for sex, age, and skin type.

Results
The open-label group began the study with an almost “average” skin health score (above 58%) compared to the database.

In the sixth week, the participants had an advanced skin score and reached 78%, which significantly improved compared with 58% at the beginning of the study. Based on an evenness parameter, which is a global measurement of the roughness of the skin surface that considers wrinkle size, pore size, and coarse texture of the skin, the participants showed a minus 18 years (plus or minus 4) in skin age. In more straightforward terms, for example, a participant who is 58 years old looked roughly 40 after the treatment.
